For over forty years, the Peter Lane Gallery has bought and sold antiques, antiquities and fine art to collectors, dealers and museums in Australia and overseas.
Peter Lane originally traded in antiques in London from 1974 to 1976. He then opened the PETER LANE GALLERY when he moved to Adelaide in June 1976. He, and the gallery, have since moved to Sydney in 1981, and now reside in Hobart (since 2007).
The Peter Lane Gallery's concept for a home is to ensure the spaces are laid out in a practical manner and consist of comfortable furniture and delightful objects. The furniture should be usable and the objects should go towards satisfying an inquiring mind.
